“Unfortunate Situation”

To give some background on my situation, I had my credit card stolen a few days after I made my reservation with Baymont. I canceled the old card, and received a new card from my bank.On the day I checked in, I got to the counter and was told my reservation was canceled. I was told that they tried to get a "pre-authorization" on my old credit card, and since I had already canceled it, the "pre-authorization" was declined and that warranted them canceling my reservation.Once they canceled my reservation, I was told that they could not bring it back up in their system, and that I would be charged the walk in rate. The manager was "nice" enough to give me a discount, though I still ended up paying ~$60 more than my reservation for a 2 night stay. Obviously, I was not very happy about this, since I didn't know they could randomly cancel my reservation, especially since I had not checked in yet (I checked in around 10PM)The hotel itself was only OK. My gf complained that the sheets were a little dirty, and she found other people's hair in the sheets. The hotel is close to Universal, which was why we stayed there, but I don't think we would stay there again based on our experience.
