“We have stayed in this hotel for the last 2 years and have...”

We have stayed in this hotel for the last 2 years and have been pretty satisfied (was the Jameson Inn). This year we talked two other families into staying here with us. Overall the now Baymont Inn did not live up to expectations. Our first morning we waited 45 minutes in the breakfast line just for mediocre waffles, eggs and sausage. Our other 3 mornings were about a 30 minute wait. Most of the food was gone and not restocked. No syrup for the waffles and some workers had an attitude about working the breakfast area. The pool was not heated as the website had stated and was also dirty. We were traveling with children that had expected to swim. We spoke to the front desk and they said that the heater had been broken for awhile now. One night we didn't get any new towels. I waited at the front desk for 20 minutes for someone to show up. When she finally did, she said that she was the only worker there and she had to clean rooms and watch the front desk. I was told by several workers during my stay that the problem is that the general manager doesn't want to spend the money to make it a better place to stay. The other families had issues as well. Rooms weren't cleaned, tv quit working and items had been taken from the room. With that being said, I think we will look for a different place to stay next year.
