“Reservation problem - some rooms still need updating.”

I had reserved (2) rooms with King beds on 1st Floor a month in advance. This hotel does not have an elevator and we have stayed there before on 2nd floor and it was too inconvenient. Also, this trip we had someone with broken ankle. When we checked in we were told they only had (1) King room or us on 1st Floor and so other party had to settle for 2 Queen beds on 1st floor instead or go upstairs to King room. Not happy about that. Also the room with 2 queens must have been somewhat updated...nicer looking room and had a fridge in room. The king room was outdated and no fridge. I asked the front desk for a fridge and they could not because the maintenance guy was not available over the weekend. We only stayed one night so we were fine but if it had been a longer stay ... we might have moved to another hotel.
