“Terrible experience”

Unless you get a great deal on the room and can deal with inept staff, don't stay here! But beware that they charge you a $5 a day "resort fee".On first glance the rooms look great, but later I had to kill a cockroach in my room. The floors in the bathroom and shower were dirty and there was rotting fruit that sat for days in the walkway outside. The door was sealed so poorly that I could hear the busy street a block away way up on the 6th floor. The first time I was given my key, my room number was written incorrectly, I called down to verify and another room number was given to me over the phone. That room already had someone in it and yet another room was assigned to me after trying for 10 minutes to explain the situation to the maintenance guy. When I returned to my room the 2nd night, my key did not work. I had them reset at the front desk which did not fix the problem. I had to again have a long conversation with the maintenance guy who blamed me for ruining the key by putting it next to my phone (which I hadn't done). He let me into my room and said that the lock works just fine (after he did a fancy key jiggle in the lock with his master key) so I should just stay in my room so I don't have to deal with the lock anymore. After far too much debating with him, he finally fixed my lock. Overall a terrible experience.
