“Decent hotel, no frills”

Room was clean, quiet. Handle on toilet was broken, TV was old-fashioned CRT type, countertop in bathroom was WOOD that had been painted. Shower was decent but had a very short ceiling, would be uncomfortable for anyone 6' or taller to use. Reception staff was sitting reading a magazine when I came to check in, had to say "excuse me" several times before I got their attention. They had a generally unhappy, though not rude, attitude. Room had a microwave and mini-fridge, which would be advantageous if I had been staying longer than my 1 night. Door lock was partially busted, as the door would not shut completely unless it was locked from the inside, when I left the room briefly it locked but there was a gap so that you could see most of the door jam. There are fish tanks in the lobby across from the elevator that are in dire need of cleaning, I feel horrible for those fish. There was a free breakfast in the morning but did not use it so can't speak to the quality or contents. Grocery store just down the street which is very handy for grabbing affordable food, gas station practically across the street from hotel. On checkout the reception person (different from check-in person) continued to carry on a conversation with a coworker of hers as she checked me out.
