“Big pillows and baby woes”

  , Denver
I booked my room a few days in advance, with a special need of having a crib in the room for my 5 month old daughter. Technically it was in the room for our stay, but rather than having a hard, flat surface in the bottom, it had a big fluffy comforter folded in there (protip: that's a serious SIDS risk). When we complained about it to the front desk, the attendant was quoted in says that was "retarded" and sent someone to remedy the situation. After that was resolved, my wife made a quick safety check in this thing to see if there were any other problems. It turns out that the thing was super rickety, and that the bottom could not be locked. I sheepishly brought the thing up to the front desk to see if they could replace it, or at least fix it so the bottom would lock and we wouldn't have to worry about it folding up with our daughter inside. They didn't have another one, so they held onto it for a couple hours and said they couldn't fix it when I came back later and asked about it. I took it back anyways because I thought it would be better than having the baby sleeping on the floor. I shook the thing pretty hard to see if it would fold up, and it didn't. So the baby slept in the rickety crib. The pillows were absolutely massive. I don't think I've ever seen pillows that thick. They really made it hard to sleep, so if you plan on sleeping here you may want to bring your own.Other than these complaints, the hotel was clean and the room was nice. I wouldn't exactly call it baby friendly though.
