“Would not recommend”

Upon arrival to the hotel I found that I had won a free upgrade of our room accommodations. The room had not been cleaned, specifically the bathroom. Hair in the shower and sink, water on the floor, no wash cloths. However, the housekeeping staff had tried to make it appear that it had been done by removing the shower mat to dry and replacing the complimentary soaps. I called down to the desk to which someone came up to inspect the room and the room was changed. This would have been acceptable had there not been the same problem in the second room PLUS ANTS! Rather than switching rooms again I went out and bought my own cleaning supplies because I figured @ this point that none of the bathrooms were being cleaned by the housekeeping staff. In the morning housekeeping made it a point not to try to clean my room even though we had pulled off all of our sheets and blankets and put the in a pile with our dirty towels and propped the door open for them to see. Even after asking them it was a good 30min. and a call down to the front desk before anything was done. And by done, I mean the only thing done was the beds made and the towels put in the bathroom. The trash wasn't taken out, no vacuum was run, the bathroom again wasn't cleaned. Breakfast was nothing to brag about. The food was OK, but staff had difficulty keeping items stocked and did not see keeping the trash emptied or tables clean as a priority for in-coming guests. And the heated outdoor pool...cold. As if that wasn't bad enough we were told that the laundry service had not been in working order as it was advertised online so we had to take more time out of our day spend another $10 @ a local laundry mat.
