“Horrible Experience”

  , Fort Worth
After checking in, I took the elevator to the second floor. When the elevator doors opened, my first site was a what appeared to be dryer lint all over the tile floor, along with an unknown dried liquid. I then exited the elevator to see that all of the baseboards in the corridor were removed from the wall. Next, I went into my room and found a dead cockroach on my window sill. In regards to the mess at the elevator, I assumed that maybe somebody simply made a mess and hotel staff had not found it yet. However, I returned to my room the following evening and found that not only was the original mess still there, but it had also grown. Also, apparently the housekeeping staff's idea of making a bed is to simply pull the sheets back to the top of the bed. They were not tucked back in or straightened out at all. Though the TV did have a decent selection of channels available, it was nearly impossible to get to any of them as you had to scroll one by one to the channel you wanted (manual entry of channel numbers simply blacked out the TV). The room was right across from the elevator, so I heard that all night. I also could hear my neighbors above and next to me as though they were in the room with me.The breakfast room had the standard poor stale pastries and a dirty waffle iron. There was also a hotel staff member in the room the whole time who would chastise anyone who dared leave the waffle iron lid closed when they were done. This is the only thing I saw this staff member accomplish the whole time he was in the room. The last bit of strangeness from this hotel is the fact that they appear to be running a trucking company out of the hotel lobby. They have a gift shop (shirts, sweatshirts, etc) with the trucking company's logo on them and they appear to dispatch the truckers from the front desk.In short, this hotel was both the strangest and the most disgusting property I have ever stayed in. This was also my first (and likely last) time staying at a Wyndham property.
