“No hot water!”

The night of my stay, I wanted to take a shower, but there was no hot water. I called the front desk and was told to wait 1/2 an hour and that the problem may resolve itself. I decided to go to bed and try again in the morning. The next morning, there was still no hot water. I couldn't get through to the front desk, so I walked to the lobby. I was told by the staff that they didn't know why the hot water wasn't working, that this was a reoccurring issue, and that I should wait 1/2 an hour. I asked if they could check another room to see if it was isolated to my section of the hotel, and they told me that it wouldn't matter, that they would not be able to transfer me to a room with running hot water. I was told that if I wanted to speak to a manager that I could wait for her/him to come in ... I had to go to work, so I left. I realize that Baymont is not a Hilton or a Marriott, but I don't think that hot water is too much to ask. And staffing the hotel with individuals who have no authority to provide quality customer service when an issue arises reflects poorly on the management.
