“Customer Service is KEY to a great Hotel”

I stayed in this hotel while traveling from South Carolina to Alabama to return my kids back to their dad. I called the front desk to ask for some towels, because my kids bathed the night before, they used all the towels. I spoke to a gentleman (who hardly spoke english) and I thought he said he would bring some in a few minutes. 30 minutes went by and I called the front desk back. The lady who answered the phone said "we don't bring towels to you, you have to come to the front desk to get them". So what do I do? Wake my sleeping children to go to the front desk or leave them alone?? When I arrived at the front desk, the front desk lady was talking with a lady who was sweeping the lobby. Why couldn't the lady sweeping the floor adhere to their guests? I have never stayed in a hotel where you have to go to the front desk, in the rain, to get towels. I will pay the extra $10 or $20 to stay somewhere that has higher standards in customer service if this is how they treat their guests. Although I will say, the lady who checked us in (Ashley) was very nice. I asked her if there were pizza places around to order. She called in the order and called me when it was ready to be picked up. She was very nice. Maybe the Customer Service is not the HOTEL, but who works there.
