“We stayed at this hotel in early December of 2012 and...”

We stayed at this hotel in early December of 2012 and enjoyed our visit. It appears, however, that the condition of the hotel has deteriorated since that time. The doors were very hard to open and close from the outside, the sink was badly cracked and looked bad. The worst part of the stay was when I closed the bathroom door from the outside I could not reopen it. I went to the lobby to inquire about this. The clerk told me she had heard a complaint about this already and should have told maintenance but had not. She gave me a straightened out paper clip to try to open the door myself. I found this unsatisfactory. We were finally able to open the door after several minutes of trying (the paper clip did not work, had to use a credit card). So, we could not close the bathroom door during out stay out of fear we could not open it again!
